Reading TextMessage sent using JMS, read it using C++

I am sending out TextMessage from JMS in a queue. Some other C++ program is reading those messages from that queue. C++ program can see these messages but C++ thinks that these messages are not text messages.

Is there anything that I have to set in these messages from Java side to make sure that C++ can read those messages?

Do I have to set any property in my msg from Java side, or do I have to use other kind of msg from Java side so that C++ can read it?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
