Background: I'm trying use AJAX in a portal site I've developed. I want to update 2 portlets every 10 seconds. However, I can't figure out a way to start the timer that would send out the XMLHttpRequest. Since this is in a portal, I can't use the onLoad event of the page to start it. Any ideas would be appreciated!
