Hello ranchers,

I have 2 years of experience in Java, Servlets, JSP.
I want to switch to other organization for reasons like technology & salary.

Right now I work for a Mid Sized Product based( core banking solutions) company in Pune. but, I work on non-banking (HRIS) product.

Recently, I have been interviewed by an MNC and likely to get an offer for Pune center.

In the Project Manager's round, he told me that I will have to work on Applets,AWT/SWING more and somewhat on JSPs, as the product was developed long back and that, they will recode it from scratch within a year's span using latest Java technologies(possibly Struts). The domain is biometrics based access & security.

The website of the company shows that they have received orders for smart card based & biometrics based security control systems for major airports and other big organizations (banks etc.) across the world including India.

I would like to know more about the which are other organizations are into this domain?
Is it advisable to switch the domain?.
People say it's hot domain after incidences like 9/11 and recent bomb explosions in Europe, South-East Asia & India.
working on Applets & AWT/SWING ?
and how much should I get for 2 years experience.

Please advise/ share you views.
