Hi Folks, I have 2 yrs of exp in java/j2ee. I have also completeed SCJP and SCWCD. I am looking to change my current job. How much salary can i expect? My current CTC 3.2 per annum. Waiting for your reply. I am working in pune

It really depends on the company and the job profile being offered in the company. Know your market worth and then ask for a reasonable amount. When you do a career shift after 2 years you can expect anywhere from 30% to 100%+ increase in your salary based on the company that you shift to.

If your current employer has label in the market and you try some medium size company, there are chances to get 100%. But if you want to move to MNC which has Label in the Job Market, then as a standard you will in and around 25%.

Currenlt Employer "label" has got to do very little with what you can expect from market. It all boils down to how good your skills are and if you are right match for the job. If that was the case then all people from big companies would shift to medium size companies and get 100% hike! Have you ever come across this line in the ads... "Salary No bar for deserving candidates" . Period.
