Hi everyone!

Please suggest me a good servlet/ejb project topic to build on for my college project exam.
I'm asking this here coz it's very hard find a live project & on the net it's even harder to find a good topic.

Please do suggest me one ... soon

Thanks to everyone in advance.

does your master provide you with some topics or you can select any project related to J2ee ?

how much experiences you have in building java / j2ee applications ?

How much time you have to complete the job and give it to your master ?

there are some questions that should be answered before you find a suitable subject for your college project.

Make a Web Address Book. Or a simple Web Store Front that sells Candy Bars.

Yes, we can choose any topic we want & we have got a time span of around 2 & 1/2 months to submit the completed project.

As for experience, we dont have any experience in java/j2ee except for a very simple chat server in which multiple clients could connect & chat with each other through the server.

I hope this much info is sufficient. If not, then just let me know what else info is req. & I shall provide with the same.

Thanks.

Can you use any frameworks on top of your J2EE app?

If so, whip up something with Spring and you'll probably be done in half the time

sorry for the delay ,
based on what you said about your experiences and time that you have i suggest that you do the following :

goto http://www.jboss.com/products/seam , it is a framework which makes developing ejb3 + jsf application very easy , also Jboss provides some IDE plugins that generate much of the code for you .

http://www.jboss.com/products/seam/docs
http://www.jboss.com/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=JBossSeam

the provide some movies that you can use to learn.

for project subject , i suggest you make a simple blogging application.
this is simple task and there is a very small start-up for you to use , because jboss people once developed a readonly and very simple weblog application using seam.
