What is the future and pay of Mainframes when compaired to java and .net?

You need to change your display name as soon as possible or risk having your account deleted.

Mainframes have been around for a long time. They will stick around for a long time as well. There is so much cobol code everywhere and people need programmers to maintain it. Its difficult to move away from the ol reliable as well.

I know one person whose last name is Bangalore.I think Bangalore is a authentic last name.Not sure whether Sanju Bangalore is authentic name or not.

Hi John,

It is quiet common in India to have your second name derived from the place you are born

like for example, one of my friends name was Jyothi Mysore. Mysore is the name of a place..

I used to know a Bob English.

Incidentally, I gave up on mainframes in part because I could make more money doing PC applications programming than I could doing mainframe systems programming. Which used to pay much better than mainframe applications programming. I don't guarantee the same to be true in all times and all places, however.

I like a good income, but not so much that I'm willing to move out of town or take a really awful job just to pocket some extra cash.
