This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
1. I have already installed a ear file(including ejb module) successfully. 2. Update the existing ear file, Select "Single module" and upload a simple war module(including one simple jsp, irrelevnt to ejb ref...), and in "Select installation options" tick the checkbox "Deploy enterprise beans". 3. After clicking the "Finish" button at the last step, there are such lines in the result page:
Update of test_ear has started. ADMA5009I: An application archive is extracted at /xxxxx/ibm/wasnd/profiles/xxxxxmgr/wstemp/app_10caa5dfb8b/ext/test2.war ADMA5008E: EJBDeploy failed on /xxxxx/ibm/wasnd/profiles/xxxxxmgr/wstemp/app_10caa5b26bd/dpl/dpl_test_ear.jar: com.ibm.websphere.management.exception.AdminException: No EJB or EAR file found to process. ADMA5011I: The cleanup of the temp directory for application test_ear is complete. Update of test_ear has ended.
I've tried for seveval times...

It is ok only after first adding web module to ear and then install the whole ear file. It seems: if add a web module to update the ear file by "Single module", the checkbox "Deploy enterprise beans" should not be ticked no matter whether web module is relevant to ejb...maybe due to it can not find the previous class/jar files.
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
