Rohit,
You can expect till 7-8.5 lakhs in Pune based product companies ..
Very few companies are currently present in Pune but consider Pay Master in market
My friend is working in one of them.

Rohit,
I thought you are going for Antivirus company
Few product companies are doing Product Release from India, Pune.
If you are going for salary, there are many Pay Master in Pune belongs to services. Think that option as well.
Still I feel, In future PLM will be next boom after Banking and Finance.

Regards,
Ram

Gotcha.!
I just needed to know, so that I dont feel like a chicken when asked this question as I have absolutely no clue what so ever about this figure.

I have'nt considered services companies uptill now as all of my experience happens to be in a startup product company.
It would be great if you could share that information with me indeed!

Thanks in advance!

Rohit,
I will suggest the service based companies where you will get good challenging assignments.
In product based companies, if you work on evolving product, it is really great but if you work for customization then it will be problem
Check your PM !

Please reply in the forum and not through personal messages or email, as explained here. We have lots of other useful tips for asking questions on JavaRanch as well.

All information that can be shared on the forum is rightly been shared and only subset of the information that is specific is been sent via PM.
So let me assure you are not missing any relevant information!

Just trying to *respect some policies of the ranch and therefore the PMs and if in doing so it breaches some other policy(!) then my humble appologies for the same anyways

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
