What is AspectJ,Interceptor?

hi guys,
I need some general explaination on the AspectJ,Interceptor? As a beginner, i dont really understand or getting the idea of it. Could someone guide me on this with a simple understanding and example?

AspectJ is a Aspect Oriented Programming tool. You can write interceptors around your methods. To put it in a simpler terms, consider the following method in your class:

Now lets assume you want some code to be executed before/after this doSomeOp() is called. Aspect Oriented Programming allows you to do this.
