Hi all,

What are the career prospects in India for J2ME developer?

I have a job in hand in J2EE at present in a top IT firm, which i will be joining in Junly this year. But Mobile Application is what capturing my interest since the day I came in contact with this technology.
I want to delve into Mobile Application field. But I dont know what my career growth would be like in this field, since most of the time I hav seen companies working on Game Development rather than application development.

And the BIG question...
Should I leave my J2EE job for J2ME or not? Would J2ME job be equally good in monetary and statisfaction terms as in J2EE.

J2ME development can be a pain and like you mentioned most firms will concentrate on game development. Thats because a phone has to put up with a lot of constrains when it runs its application. If you really love developing applications in J2ME, go for it. I found J2EE development to be much more satisfying.
