Hello,
Of course I'd like to win a copy of your book, and I might even buy it anyway.
I'm the build engineer working with a product stack that includes glassfish, and it would be useful to be able to make URL queries that get the domain and other info from the deployment I'm interfacing with.
Currently I'm parsing xml files and asking users to put the answers in properties files.
Can such URLs be constructed?
Thanks,
Bret

Bret,

There is no "out of the box" solution that will display domain information in the browser. What you could do is write a web application that reads the domain.xml file or other configuration files in the domain and provides the information you need.

Thanks for that. That could actually be an interesting project.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
