As it says at the top of the forum, "Please note that posts that have meaning or are not drivel, stand a good chance of getting deleted."

I'm guessing because it was neither meaningless nor drivel.
While I feel for you having your thread deleted, we are having to deal with 'what the forum has become' rather than 'what some of us would like it to be'.

Topics with meaning are likely to get removed. If not sooner then later.
