At many places it is advised to make use of BMT rather than CMT
I have not worked on very complicated / distributed apps and have made use of
BMT dont seem to be that complicated where all we need to do is make use of the methods - "begin/commit/rollback" - which is not different from jdbc tx
Also making use of these methods is quite simple
So do we really need to use CMT ?
Put another way - why should I not use BMT ?
Be kind to animals.
It is sorta covered in the
JavaRanch Style Guide
subject: BMT Vs CMT
When to use UserTransaction's setRollbackOnly() and UserTransaction's rollback()
TX mgmt responsibility
Transactions: Mix BMT & CMT
