Hi Radha java/j2ee scene in Singapore is really good, & increasing day by day. i dont have detailed knowledge , but just FYI, two majors players in BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) domain - Citibank & Credit Suisse - they are hiring at large - lots of openeings across levels/platforms. There are many other comps hiring too. For 5 yrs you can fetch 45-55K SD, depending upon your skillset, urgency of the requirement & your negotiation power cheers !

What is the deal with that sudden huge surge in Real Estate rental cost? I heard about it. It might bite my behind soon too.

It is basically because of demand and supply gap. In last 6 month there was lot of recruitment in Banking, Financial Services domain. In every recruitment drive many people join these jobs from other countries. This is why rent is going high. Thanks, Shailesh
