EJB application deployment problem

I'm taking the Java EE course from javapassion.com
I am currently trying to get a EJB 3.0 lab to work w/o success.
Other student running the Windows version of Netbeans 6.1, can deploy the application, but I'm using the Linux version of NB 6.1 and it's full of bugs and wizard leave-outs.

Is anyone using Linux NB and successfully deploying EJB apps?
