Hi, I'm looking for a place that has algorithms. I'm specifically interested in those that are used to draw 3d data (contour plots, 3d plots, et cetera). Does anybody know of a good resource for such algorithms?

Paul,
Maybe you would be interested in Java3D? Here is a link for you to check out:

I looked all over for contour plot algorithms a couple years ago, and ended up writing my own (which I'm not particularly happy with). Please keep looking, and if you do find anything, please let us know here.

Here are a couple of articles specific to Contour plotting

In general, I've seen a few advanced graphics books that address various algorithms and such but I've yet to find a repository on the web. Something like a "Numeric Recipes" for graphics would be great if it existed.

Sean,
Thanks for the pages, they were helpful. I realized that I had already interpolated my data as far as finely I wanted it interpolated, so I am just making contours from a preexisting result.
Thanks everybody for responding.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
