HTTP tunneling is the process of reading and writing serialized objects using a HTTP connection.For example an Applet can open a HTTP connection to a servlet to pass serialized data.

//From an Applet
ex: URL url=new URL("http://localhost:8080/servlet/AnyServlet");
URLConnection conn=url.openConnection();
