Hi, I am 3.8 yrs experienced in Web development in different technologies(not fully java). Iam very much interested in j2ee technologies So I did SCJP certification(got 91%) preparing for SCWCD.
Our company is an ISO certified company. I waited to get the j2ee devlopment oppurtunity in our company. But now there are no hopes.
Recently I got an offer from a small company, they offered good package. But that company is established in india a few months back. The technologies they use are very good(AJAX,XML,XSLT,STRUTS,SOA,SPRING,HIBERNATE), domain is aircraft domain.
The Company saticfies all my criteias except brand.
Please suggest me at this point of time switching to a small company is good decision or not.
the grass is always greener on the other side, right?

Hi, After 3.7 yrs of experience, I do not have any brand name in my profile,If I joined in that company i should at least work for one year,So after that 4.7 years, still i will not have any brand on my profile. This is what i am bothering about.
If you are getting a chance to work in the technology of your choice then you should readily take up the offer. Don't think so much about the so called "Brand". You will regret your decision 5 years from now by sticking to the brand company and not doing the work of your choice. Opportunity doesn't come knocking at your door often. You will have the job satisfaction of working in the technology of your choice. Take up the offer and I am sure that after working in the small company for a year, you will get a good offer with a big brand company.
