Hi,

I recently posted my resume to Indian job sites like Naukri.com, MonsterIndia and timesjobs. I now receive on an average 18-20 emails everyday from different consultants.

Initially I replied to few of them but never heard back from any, except for 2-3 like Mafoi, Sampoorna.

I want to know from where I can get a list of genuine consultants?

Thanks,
Afroz

I don't get what do you mean by 'genuine consultants'. If you are looking for a job in India, you will be mostly contacted by consultants (aka recruitment/placement agencies). They will get you an interview call and if you are a hot property, many such consultants will ask for your assurance that you won't deal with other agency for the same job, since they contacted you first.

BTW MaFoi and Sampoorna are big names and they exclusively handle some cos. recruitment (e.g.: Sampoorna handles Amdocs). All the Best!

All are genuine consultants only (I do not think that they charge any money from you), they might not be getting back to you as because your CV might not have been shortlisted by client.

Yes, many consultants calling-up for the same requirement happens all the time (mainly for v.experienced guys or someone with skillsets in demand). Just play it cool and treat them as your 'friends' in job hunting. They will try to help you in the interview process as lucrative client fees is involved. And yes, as Rahul said, they won't (and should not) charge.
