hi i have created a chat module using Sockets (too easy) i have now to make provisions for multiple chatrooms..how do i go about it? can anyone please give me a direction? also can anyone tell me where i can find information on IP multicasting. does java support this in RTP? if so how do i implement it for audio conferencing.
Hi Stanley, Creation of Chat room is also pretty easy. Use a suitable data structure say Vector or Hash table. For example you can create a vector which will contain all users registered to a particular room. All these features should be done in server side. While chatting user and server should pass room information also.
