Hi,
I have the following command to execute Oracle's export utility from command line.OS is Windows 2000
Runtime.getRuntime().exec(exp user/pass@db FILE=C:\abc.dmp ) ;
However, the DOS window shows up when the process starts executing. How do I minmize the Dos window.
Any suggestions,
Thanks,
Shilpa.

You would need to find out from Oracle if they have a version of their exp program that handles the DOS window differently.

Thanks Cindy,
I will do that.
But is it possible to pass any command line parameters which will suppress the dos window from popping up ?

hi,
perhaps you can deal with the start command ?
if you want to open foo.doc in word, then you can simply type following in the command line: start foo.doc. start also takes some parameters (MIN is one of them).
this only works if the app is registered/the extension is registered with a app.
