I need to be able to extract files within a JARed directory. i.e.,
I have a JAR file which has a directory in it and there are some files in that directory.
Is there a way I can load these files?

alok,
if i get ur question correctly.. u want to read some files programatically, that are archived as .jar files ..
In the java API there is a package java.util.jar , in this package u will find many classes like JarFile and JarEntry..
u can use them .. go thr' them and u will find that they are very easy to use.
