Hi,
I am resending this after a new registration.
I am trying VB-Java interaction using CAS bridge of Sun. The VB application calls a Java wrapper class, which in turn calls a few java classes do some execution and return a String. I tried running the Java wrapper class separately using main and it works fine. But when I invoke the java method from VB, the statement which calls the Java method displays an exception.
java.security.PrivilegedActionException . I am not using any applets involving any access issues. Could somebody who has worked in this line help me.
Regards,
Venkat.

i have'nt done much ..but let me try helping.
can you give some idea of the kid of stuff you are doing in the java class.
The java method has DEFINITEILY thrown a checked exception.
Did u do
ShowJavaConsole
in your vb code?
it will give you some idea as to what went wrong in the java
method. I got this sometime back when i tried opening a file in java and it threw a FileNotFoundException which is checked.
I got the same exception as you then.
the only way i did a error trapping in vb was through
on error goto SomeWhere
SomeWhere:
//do something
I guess once you have caught the error you can proceed in a normal way.
karthik.

Hi,
I was trying the similar thing, but unable to do it. Could you please tell me how did you guys succeeded with the interaction between Java & VB?
I want to reuse the java code that is already there in my VB program. I really appreciate your help.
THanks in advance,
Nalini.
