Is there a way to retrieve text that was drawn on a control
with the drawString method?

Not that I know of. It is a PAINTING of the words with no text formatting. If you are trying to work with and manipulate text, the Graphics class is probably not your best bet.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I don't have anyt control over the way
the text is put on the control. So I can't change the painting.
Just trying to research any possible way of getting it off.

Well, scanners that can interpret pixels INTO text do it somehow, so surely it CAN be done. Just don't know how.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
