Multiple Document Interface in Java

I want to develop a image processing application similar to that of Paint Shop Pro.The application should have facility like MDI(Multiple Document Interface) like in VB or VC++, where in the main Frame(Application), I can open more than one image. All the operations ahould be performed on the active document/image.
I must be able to minimise,close resize each of the documents and be able to move them freely within the main frame.Is there any API for it, or are there any 3rd party beans etc?
I will be graceful if anyone can give me a solution.

Hi Tanveer,
Have a look at JDesktop and JInternalFrame. That would be your best choice for what you want to do.
