Accessing Network Resource using Java

I want to access the resources in a network,(like printers, servers etc). I want to get a list of the resources and display them. After initial searching, I came across 2 ways which could be of help to me - one is the JDMK(Java Dynamic Management Kit), the second one is the jCIFS. Have anyone done any similar work or can guide me?
