I have around 10 years experience out of which 5 years in java/j2ee. Rest 5 years in other technologies. I know core java,EJB,Struts,Hibernate, and unittesting tools. I am also very strong in PL/SQL. I have high technical aptitude but could not get proper exposure to go higher in technical direction. I have career aspiration of becoming architect.
Recently I was working with one MNC(more than 3 years). I left it because I did not get any work in designing. I joined one small company one week before. But I am just sitting there and all projects are maintenance projects. They do not use UML for designing. I am sitting idle. My role is not much challenging aswell. I will do same coding again if atall I get work. I am worried what should I do. I have learned design patterns and UML. But did not get any work.
Should I start searching again. Or should I wait in current company.
I can get PL role easily if I search for new company.
Ooch, this is a difficult one. You left a company and ended up in an equal (maybe worse) situation.
That does not help you very much to improve. Let's hope that you can find an opportunity to get out if this situation. But I'm afraid it's back to off. You 'll probably have to start over building your career from point zero.
