I am developing a JSP/browser based application that stores mailing addresses in MySQL. These mailing addresses need to be printed to mailing labels somehow. Any ideas? I might be way off but is it possible to open another application like Microsoft Word and use the built in mailing label funtction with data from my database on the fly???
Thanks in advance...

Y do you want to make it complex ?
IBM has build a class that allows to talk to MS environment !
There is however two much much better solutions to me :
  • Print from Java itself
  • Generate a PDF & print it

  • At least both solutions can be implemented in pure Java while your will be reaaly plateform specific !
