This week's book giveaway is in the Agile and other Processes forum. We're giving away four copies of The Mikado Method and have Ola Ellnestam and Daniel Brolund on-line! See this thread for details.
Probably, but the warning was placed very early on that it had a better chance of being deleted than being kept. Personally I thought it was getting dangerous but didn't delete it myself. I don't think it will be recovered.

Hi David, There were no such posts that were making the discussion dangerous. The discussion was going nicely. So why it was deleted when everyting was going on nicely?.
You are correct. We made a mistake, the thread should never have been left in the first place. My apologies.

Hi David, I just wanted to say that after discussing so much and suddenly deleting the post will make the discussion waste. So either if you guys feel the discussion is meaningful then delete the thread at the beginning itself instead of deleting the thread in the middle of discussion which makes the discussion go waste.
I believe that the quote from Paul himself is that if you care enough about a thread when it is deleted, then it should have been deleted earlier.
If you can provide a link to the Blair thread I'll delete that one too and If you see any other threads that should be deleted please contact me.

Hey David i dont want the other threads to be deleted.Just said you guys what can be done because the discussions should not go waste.Cheers to ranch
I don't think we'd want to start deleting everything that has a semblance of meaning. As we've said before, politics can be discussed, as long as the rules of this site are followed.
After this thread contracted Not-Niceness that had to be removed early on, it happened again when someone posted a link to a website making disparaging remarks about the subject of discussion. You may not have seen that, but it was there. It's a feature of public discussion forums that you can't choose who will respond and how they will do it. In this case, a moderator may have decided that the not-so-nice posts were likely to continue, and that the effort needed to keep the thread clean was more than it was worth. Hence, it's gone.

Agreed but the posts which were not nice could have been deleted instead of whole thread and also pointing out the ranchers not to post such things in the thread. What do you feel?.

The moderator who deleted the tread may not have had the time or inclination to do so. If a thread violates the rules repeatedly, it's just easier to delete the whole thread than to try and moderate it again and again. We're all volunteers, and only have so much time to spend on keeping this place running.

Hi...
Too bad I taught... We could discusses some controversies(politics) to add a bit chilly to ranch. May be with a threshold limit being set.
After-all man is a political animal. Anyway gone is gone... Hopefully...
