Has anyone seen any information on how to become a java instructor? I would imagine that there is some sort of certification process. Any ideas?

to be an instructor at a college in canada you usually need a MSc in related field (usually Comp Sci ) and 5 years of relevant experience and at the University level a Phd in Math/Comp Sci is usually the norm ( hiring is also dependant on the amount of research funding a prof can generate! ). This also depends on the availability of IT professionals to the college/university. If the availability of IT professionals is low in an area, a college may accept a person with a BSc, or a university may accept a Masters student studying to obtain his Phd.
for non-accredited instutions, the education of the instructors is completely up to the institution that is hiring. ( may need to be a certified speedo swimmer or something! )
