Calling java API from Pro*C prog...

Hi All,
AS I need to call a java API from a Pro*C program and get the reurn value from the java API and perform the other functionality in Pro*C.
Is it possible to perform this kind of approach.
If it is so, then how will I go about doing that.
Please do suggest me some approach.

You can call Java API from C code using JNI. If your Pro*C precompiles Oracle code into C, you can put your JNI code there. I don't think you are going to have a problem with that, because Pro*C is only looking for database code. Still, while I used to call Java API from C, I never did it from Pro*C.
