Hi All,
AS I need to call a java API from a Pro*C program and get the reurn value from the java API and perform the other functionality in Pro*C.
Is it possible to perform this kind of approach.
If it is so, then how will I go about doing that.
Please do suggest me some approach.
Thanks in Advance
Vasu

"champ",
Thanks for participating here at the Ranch. However, the name you are using does not comply with the naming convention described at http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp . We require names to have at least two words, separated by a space, and strongly recommend that you use your full real name (not fictitious monikers). Please log in with a new name which meets the requirements.
Thanks.

You can call Java API from C code using JNI. If your Pro*C precompiles Oracle code into C, you can put your JNI code there. I don't think you are going to have a problem with that, because Pro*C is only looking for database code. Still, while I used to call Java API from C, I never did it from Pro*C.
