I would like to suggest a new feature for BigMooseSaloon.
Please let me know if this utility is already available and I have missed it.

Actual idea :--> Once a user enters a topic he can see list of the Most recent Posts and few most recent pages. My suggestion is to have a search window/textBox here. So that I can post some search keywords and check if the issue that I am about to post a new topic for has already been discussed. If I find a solution to my doubt in existing posts then I would not post a new topic. This way we might be able to eliminate some redundant data and also help users get quick answers for some of the already covered topics.

Its a useful feature , but currently I do the same manually.

I search the forum for the issue that I am going to post.If do not find any satisfactory solution to it , then only I post a new thread.

There is an extensive search facility available behind the "Search" link at the top of each page. It can limit a search to recent posts (e.g., last 30 days, last 3 months, etc.), but if you're wondering if a question has been asked before, then you generally wouldn't restrict the search to just recent posts.

Also of interest would be the FAQ, which is linked right next to the Search link. It has answers to many commonly asked question; it's good practice to consult it (and search it) before asking a question.
