I'm using Ant and I've run into a problem. If I don't give a permission (that I'm checking for) to the "ant.jar" code base, then the app won't run
no matter what.
However, here's the problem: IF I DO give permissions to the "ant.jar" then even if nothing else has any permissions, EVERYTHING passes through!! How do I make it so the permission does not get caught on any ant classes, but will get caught if other classes don't have permissions?
Help! I can't test security with Ant so far!

no answer here, but i think it would behoove you to post this to the ant-user list. the ant developers and gurus all hang out there.
to find out how to subscribe, send email to ant-user-help@jakarta.apache.org (or go to http://jakarta.apache.org/site/mail2.html)

Thanks, will do. I did check google, and searched the jakarta site and bug database and found nothing but I'll try that list.
But if anyone here does get the answer, please let me know.

You should have posted your request in the Jakarta forum

Wow, didn't even know that existed. How do I move this thread to that forum?

If a Javarancher with superpowers (moderator, sheriff, bartender) reads this thread, it will be kind enough to move it. Or you should mail the moderators directly.
