modem communication usin comm package

hey there
i am new to the comm package provided by java
i know how to establist connection with a serial port for the purpose of reading parameters nd modifying them.
i wan't to connect to my modem and use AT commands
can any one help me as to how should i start
even some sort of an example will help

k, seeing as you've already established a connection, i'll continue from there onwards.
add a listener for your serial port

you may already have done that bit but anyway, next implement the serialEvent(SerialPortEvent) method

to write your AT commands simply get an OutputStream from your serialPort instance and write to it

PS Have a look at the demo code that came with the jar, this is where i got this source from, with minor changes to help solve your problem
