Hi Jan Michael,
As far as I know, the only way to maximize a "JFrame" in JDK 1.2 is to set its size to the size of the screen. You can use the "getDefaultToolkit()" method to get the default "Toolkit" and then use the methods in class "Toolkit" to get the screen size.
However, the latest JDK (version 1.4) has much better support for maximizing "JFrame"s. Is there some reason why you can't upgrade to the latest version?
Hope this helps you.
Good Luck,
Have you checked out Aspose?
