Hi There,
Has anyone come across any java API to read the content of MS WORD documents. Though there are a couple of API's to write into rtf or word, I could find one to read.
Thanks,

Well, there's the Jakarta POI project, but it's still at a very early stage.

See also Jacob at http:/www.DanAdler.com, or google for "JAVA COM bridge" for commercial products. Jacob seems to work, but is not well supported so I'd be reluctant to bet my job on it.

A good question is never answered. It is not a bolt to be tightened into place but a seed to be planted and to bear more seed toward the hope of greening the landscape of the idea. John Ciardi

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
