Hi All,

I am working on Vignette suite of products (Vignette Content Management, Vignette Portal and Vigneete Dynamic Portal Module) from the past 1 year. In fact, I have no interest to work on these technologies and worried about the future prospects. I am afraid I will settle down as a Vignette developer rather than J2EE developer.

I request your thoughts on the scope for Vignette skill set in future. I saw many job postings for this skill set in Australia. However, I would like to know other people's ideas who are working on this kind of technologies.

I have some one at work working on Vignette. Some pretty cool stuff that. But this person plans to get back into development and enhancement projects soon. The skill set possessed by my co worker is now better. Perhaps I should ask him to teach me some of the Vignette tricks and tips. He primarily had java/J2EE skills and can now include Vignette in his bag of skills.

You should try to prove your worth in other areas if you wish to jump ship. Certifications or participation in open source projects might be helpful. Good luck

Or we might never have existed at all. Freaky. So we should cherish everything. Even this tiny ad:
