My Japanese project was developed in Jdk 1.3. It has file uploading functionality nd displaying same content in the html page. The uploaded file contains japanese characters and english double byte characters. It was working fine in Jdk 1.3, but after using JDK 1.4 it is displaying garbage data for some japanese and English double byte characters.

I agree. Here's the link: http://zeroturnaround.com/jrebel - it saves me about five hours per week
