SimpleDateFormat problem

hi i am using SimpleDateFormat to parse a string coming from xml field

DateFormat dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat(
"yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss");

i am using parse() method itn is working fine on my machine(win 2K)
but when i am running the same on other machine(win xp) it is throwing
parse exception
any one have idea please tell me

Where do the dates come from? Are you sure they are really in the format you expect on both machines?
