I would like to know, is there any way to access/manipulate the IBM VSAM file on the IBM CICS system, using Java?

I would like to add/modify/delete records in a VSAM file using Java.

If sombody has worked on this or has any idea, please share. Also it would be great if you have some examples too.

I did a Google search with the keywords "vsam cics java access". The first link returned was a reference to a page on an IBM site that apparently doesn't exist any more. All Google had kept from it was this:

"To access VSAM data, a CICS application written in Java can use either of the following methods:. Use a JCICS LINK command, or the CCI Connector for CICS TS ..."

No doubt IBM has reorganized their site since Google found this link, so you may be able to find more details by searching the IBM site.

You cross posted this question.

I answered it on another forum (sun, java programming).
