I am having trouble running the sample class included with Sun's Comm API.
I can compile the class SimpleRead.java (javac SimpleRead.java) in Linux.

But when I try to run it (java SimpleRead) I get these errors:
Error loading LinuxSerialParallel: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no LinuxSerialParallel in java.library.path Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: isDevLink at com.sun.comm.Unix.isDevLink(Native Method) at com.sun.comm.PathBundle.add(PathBundle.java:108) at com.sun.comm.PlatformPortBundle.<init>(PlatformPortBundle.java:44) at javax.comm.CommPortIdentifier.<clinit>(CommPortIdentifier.java:138) at SimpleRead.main(SimpleRead.java:67)
I can't really figure out how to get the shared library (LinuxSerialParallel) loaded. I did copy the libLinuxSerialParallel.so to the /usr/lib directory and it has the following permissions set for it;
The soul is dyed the color of its thoughts. Think only on those things that are in line with your principles and can bear the light of day. The content of your character is your choice. Day by day, what you do is who you become. Your integrity is your destiny - it is the light that guides your way. - Heraclitus
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
