Hi Ed,

The book seems wonderful . Just saw an excerpt on Amazon.
One question : How did you select the Rockstar Programmer ? I am not doubting the people you have selected but just wanted to know the criterias for the same ?

I have a few more in mind like Joshua Bloch ( Java Collections Framework Architect ) , Richard Monson-Haefel ( J2EE Web Services ) , Kathy Sierra ( Head First Series ) , Dennis Ritchie ( C Langauge ) and Bjarne Stroustrup ( C++ Language ) .

Can you include them in the 2nd Edition ?

Hello Sim Kim!

Yes, those are great names, and I even talked to some of them. I met Kathy Sierra backstage at FOWA a few weeks ago. I did ask her to be in the second edition!

As far as the selection process, it was a combination of what I thought would be a good cross section of today's top practicing talent and that I had met in person and had the opportunity to interview in person.
