i would like to know how to crash a java application if someone tries to modify it.

What you mean by modifying it?

btw: System.exit(0); is usually successful:-)

that means if someone tries to modify the settings or try to modify by reinstalling the application .

or try to use a registration key which is already been used.

Are you asking how do you apply a licence restriction to your application? What do you mean by "modify the settings"? What settings? And how is your application installed? Can you expand on what you've put so far?
