SNMP through Java API

Hi I am using JDK 1.4.2 ,
I want to perform SNMP throgh Java class..
Please tell me what api should i use to get best performance..
right now i am using the OS command in Java class but the performance is very slow.. so please tell me any SNMP api with best performance..

Welcome to JavaRanch.

A quick Google search shows plenty of SNMP libraries, both open source and commercial. Have you tried any of those?

I have tried SNMP4J in our project. It is pretty simple and robust. You can find it at SNMP4J
