how do i find JVM's own log

Hi everyone,

the context is,
some one reported that JVM crashed bcoz of something trigerred by an web-app running on Tomcat

Since its a JVM crash, i thought i will look in to JVM's own log (if there is any) instead of looking in Tomcat's log

any help?
