I need to change legacy code from java 1.2 to java 1.4
installations of java 1.2 had many .so files which are not present in 1.4 !!
Also the folder of native_threads is no more supported.
How can I find which .so file is used in my code & why?
And what can i do to change my code to new intallation?

Is your application running on Linux or another variant of Unix? .so files are libraries with native code on Linux and other Unices. It should be quite obvious if you look at the source code that there are native libraries being called (look for methods with the "native" modifier).

Java 1.2 programs should run on Java 1.4 without many problems. There might be some specific incompatibilities, but normally it should just run without modifications. What special stuff does your application contain that does not work on Java 1.4?
