Now a days many people are asking for RUP.
If I want to put RUP in my resume then what exactly I want to learn.
Just theory knowledge is enough ?
What exactly I should have knowledge about RUP?

I would suggest reading Phillipe Kruchten's Introduction to RUP book. It covers the basics really well.

An agile version, and a little more up to date, is Agilty and Discipline Made Easy by Per Kroll and Bruce MacIsaac.

Between the two books you should be ok.

I thought most companies have agile development methodology which are customized to suit a particular environment/company based on methodologies like XP, TDD, SCRUM, etc and RUP is more suited for SOA initiatives. Regardless it is worth knowing all the pros/cons of each approach and comapnies usually try these approaches on a pilot project. Hope I have not opened the can of worms on the RUP vs Agile discussion.
