Hi Hendy,

Yes, 3 in my company, so some results have already fallen.
But you must cool down and resume quiet sleeping, the lottery process may continue for long, up to september, so it is useless to stress out for such a long period.

Best regards.

I guess most of the H1B Premium Processing applicants know the results. For others it may take till June to know the results.

Good luck

Hmm... seems that my employer didn't apply H1B Premium Processing for me...
I found that for non H1B Premium Processing, applicants must wait until no later than June 2, 2008. I guess I need to keep my fingers crossed until then.

Hi arulk,

Is this the Lottery for H1B visa?

Yes, since 2007 as there are far more applicants than visas available (about twice as much, increasing each year) H1B petitions must attend a lottery now. No joke.

Best regards.

Hi KJ Reddy,

No, you are completely wrong: Premium Processing only means you will have the result faster when it is available, kind of 2 days instead of one week, but Premium Processing DOES NOT change anything about H1B lottery. All H1B petitions are equi-probable against lottery, which means any petition stands the very same chances to be random selected whatever it is Premium Processing or not.

As you said, good luck anyway.

Best regards.

Hi Eric Lemaitre

I didn't say that Premium Processing will make difference for the lottery but if any one applied under Premium Processing they will know the result early and most of them already know their result whether their application got selected or not selected in the lottery.

Got your h1 receipt numbers from the attorney ? I understand from my attorney that if we aren't hearing back any thing from USCIS before May 15 then we may have to better to prepare for the worst ..

GOOD LUCK EVERY ONE

It is most likely that application might have been rejected if no notice is received by end of May.
I can give one tip to know it faster.
You can contact the person who gave the cheques for your application and inquire whether the amount has been deducted.
If it is deducted than, that is it you are selected.

Yup - you gotta wait till 2nd June.
I read that notification on US immigration website.

But they started rolling out the results last week as far as I know.
Best of luck

I don't see anything worst if you don't get H1B. With H1B you might have good career growth but there are plenty of other opportunities every where so, don't think much about it.

I had filed H1B from consultant.I got mail from them that USCIS recieved my appication and attached scan copy of reciept from USCIS with payment received and appication no ( 13 character).

But in status its mentioned my application is "pending" .

But i have my appication no and receipt of H1B petition filed.

Is it means my case got selected in lottery ??

What is this 'prepared for worst' . Either you win the lottery or you don't.If you don't you are not going in jail. You will be in India doing the same job.

I agree with Sandip. I don't understand what worst is going to happen if your application is not selected in the lottery. Also you can try your luck again next year if you are keen on H1B

I think they should conduct some test like GRE.
