Hi all,
I've downloaded sun's free "just in time compiler" for java2. But when I put "import javax.swing" in my programm there's a compile error complaining that there's no such package.
Does anyone now if I have to download another free software or is there some other solution for this problem.

If your import statement is exactly as it appears in your post, that may be the problem. try "import javax.swing.*;" I would also recommend downloading the jdk1.3 that way everything is included. I hope it helps.

Where do I download jdk 1.3 from? What is the difference between jdk and jsk.
Thanks

You can get the JDK1.3 at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/ jdk means java development kit. This includes the latest versions of swing. I don't know what jsk is. It is also commonly called the SDK(software development kit)
