Work pressure in general is more specific to a division or project than a company as a whole. I worked for organizations where different divisions had different cultures. Work pressure also varies from time to time. It is best to indirectly find these things from your potential employer by asking questions like

-- Can you please brief on the division's work culture, working hours etc?

-- Team size, nature of the project, mission criticality/visibility, new application or enhancement to the existing application, project due date etc

The only way to have a job security in IT is to have your technical and soft skills up to speed. IT is where budget increased when everything goes well and budget is slashed when things turn sour.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
